Ce sont les mouvements de la danse Haiya d'Ushibuka... que j'ai dansé pour la deuxième et très certainement dernière fois hier, avec un grand sourire au visage (c'est plus facile la deuxième année) et un petit pincement au coeur... I wish there wasnt a new "It's the last time that i..." coming up everyday.
We danced with the Amakusa International Volunteer Group again this year, and had a proud crowd of 12 crazy gaijins in the lot. La bouffe était franchement pas géniale cette année, et en raison de certains incidents l'an dernier ils nous ont moins alcoolisés, mais it was again a great experience to be dancing in the streets with hundreds of people, me permettant par la même occasion d'étrenner mes tabis.
Dave was wearing a viking hat that seemed to be part of him, and allowed him to become a Haiya Dance famous person, alongside Laura who was wearing a sari to fundraise for her trip to India. On devrait recevoir un souper aux fruits de mer gratuit grâce à ça!
Too bad the karaoke place closed and we didnt know beforehand the town only had 6 rooms of karaoke left... which were obviously all taken, à notre grande déception... So we had a house party at Laura's! Pour une raison qui m'échappe, j'étais pu dans le mood à partir de minuit, alors j'ai décidé d'aller me coucher, en vain parce que j'ai pas dormi avant passé 4h de toute façon... c'est la vie!
Le dimanche on est allés voir la « vraie » parade, où grands et petits, dans des costumes délirants ou non, dansent dans la rue pour célébrer les poissons (en fait une excuse juste pour se lâcher la bride).
This year again, Haiya indicated the beginning of the hot weather (not the insane hot weather; the cool hot weather), which made me very happy, though a little overheating..!
